Jim Fleming on Television
Jim Fleming, Past President of the ICHM, has recently appeared on television. Fleming was interviewed by The Weather Channel for five segments of the series "100 Biggest Weather Moments." He appears in episodes discussing the Sun's relationship to the Earth, the 1889 Johnstown flood, the development of the barometer and the thermometer, and the D-Day forecast of 1944. The episodes will air at 8 pm, Sunday, April 15 through Thursday, April 19, with a repeat at 11 pm. More information can be found at http://www.weather.com/aboutus/television/100biggest/index.html.
Dr. Fleming also appeared on the MHz Network in Washington, DC, during a 30-minute interview on "The Climate Engineers." Part of the Wilson Center dialogue series, this program aired at 8 pm on Wednesday April 18, with repeats at 12 am April 19th and 1 pm April 20th.
